Marta Meet Marta!!! Marta was left at the shelter with two of her puppies. She was used as a breeder dog, so she never got the love and attention she deserved. Marta is a little shy around new people, but warms up when she is in a comfortable environment. She can be boisterous, but LOVES attention, cuddles and belly rubs. She needs to be in a home with a patient and quiet family as loud noises can startle her. Her foster mom says she has come a long way and is learning that people aren't so bad. Marta loves car rides, walks and especially her dinner time!! She is easy on a leash and can walk further than her younger doggie sister who is much younger in age. She gets along with other dogs and ignores most cats. Marta is a sweet and loving girl who needs to find her forever home with a comfy couch, plentiful treats and constant love and attention. FAST FORWARD: It took a little while, but Marta now has her forever family. She loves her new mom and has settled into her new home where she's getting lots of love and attention.
Hawkeye Meet Hawkeye!! This handsome lab/dane mix was picked up as a stray and brought to the Hesperia Animal Shelter. He came in already neutered and with a microchip, so there were high hopes his family was looking for him........sadly, no one ever came. Being a big, black dog in a shelter is never a good thing and when they asked us to help him we did. Hawkeye is a big love bug!! He is happy, energetic, eager to please and well socialized. He needs a little brush up on his leash skills, but he is coming along and doing better every day! Hawkeye appears to be house trained, crate trained and he is eager to learn and explore new things! He would make an excellent hiking/jogging partner. FAST FORWARD: Hawkeye has found his forever home. His new family LOVES him!!!
Jet Meet Jet!! Jet was rescued from the City of San Bernardino Animal Control. He was very sick from having kennel cough which put him on death row at the shelter. We rescued him and immediately got him into the vet. Jet is all better now and waiting for his forever home. Jet is about 3 years old and a total lovable, goofy guy. He loves to play fetch and would do well with an active family. FAST FORWARD: Jet waited a long time for his forever family. When his new mom and dad came to meet him, they knew as soon as they got out of the car that he was the one. It was love at first sight!! Jet now has a family who LOVES him and he's getting all the attention he deserves. He is one spoiled dog!! His new mom and dad LOVE HIM!!!!!
Duke Meet Duke!! So, this handsome fella ended up at the Carson shelter after his owner left him thereâ¦he was said to be 7, NOT he was also said to be a Dobermanâ¦NOT! Thankfully, we don't believe everything we see in print and we sent our volunteer to check him out. Well, guess what? Duke is more like 2 or 3 and a Lab/Dane mix! Duke is an active, goofy, big boy who has lots of love and living to do!! Duke would make an excellent jogging/hiking/walking partner. Duke is learning leash manners and basic commands and is eager to please. He is house trained, working on the crate and he rides well in the car. Duke is FABULOUS!!! FAST FORWARD: It didn't take long before Duke found his forever family. He is one LUCKY boy and he now has a family who loves him and will give him the attention he so much deserves.
Brandy Meet Brandy!! Brandy is about a year old and weighs around 50 lbs. She's good with other dogs, but needs to regain her trust in humans as she was mistreated by her previous owner. Brandy needs to be in a home with another dog companion who can help her overcome her fears. She needs a patient and understanding family who is home during the day to help her regain her trust in people. FAST FORWARD: Brandy found the most incredible home!! Her new mom and dad had the patience and time to give this beautiful girl a chance. It took several months for Brandy to build her trust back, but her new family never gave up.
