Jacob Meet Jacob!! Sometimes in rescue timing is everythingâ¦Jacob was adopted 6 days ago from the Carson Shelter by a private party. Fast forward 6 days and there the family is at the Carson Shelter ready to dump him back there!!! Thankfully, a volunteer was there and intercepted Jacob. The family who adopted him just put him in the backyard and couldn't understand why he was so noiseyâ¦sigh. Jacob is an adorable, happy golden retriever who is looking for a family that will let him be part of the family. He is obedient, eager to please and appears to be well socialized. FAST FORWARD: Jacob has found his forever home. His new mom and dad LOVE him. He finally has a home where he will get all the attention and love he deserves!!!!
Jessie Girl This amazing, 45 pound girls life started out pretty horribleâ¦she was transported to Southern California from Florida in the trunk of a car! Thankfully, her "owner" was arrested and she was confiscated by LA Co Animal Control. She sat as evidence for a few months and once cleared we got her out and into a loving foster home. Jessie is an absolute LOVE! She is completely house trained, very well socialized, has the temperament to be a therapy dog and adores kids. Her foster says she is amazing with their neighbors autistic son. Jessie is good on the leash, knows her commands and is very eager to please. Jessie is one in a million even after how her life started out! FAST FORWARD: Our sweet girl Jessie has found her forever home. Her new family is in LOVE with her!!!!
Jodie In May of 2014 a sweet, young pup, with BB pellets in her skin came to us from the Coachella shelter. She was super sweet, but her body was in rough shape. She immediately went to our vet and got the medical care she needed. She was adopted by a great family in July/Aug of 2014. This past week we received this recent picture and message form her momâ¦moments like this keep us going: You and I worked together last year when I adopted Rita (aka Jodie). Now that we're nearing our 1 year anniversary, I just wanted to share what Rita has been up to since we adopted her. Her name is now Rita. More formally it's Rita Pearl. She is a wonderful dog and has become such an important part of our lives. She completed Obedience Training in December and went with us on holiday vacation in the desert. She is a great car buddy. She rides quietly and politely. She loves her daily walks and does about 2.5 miles a day! She still takes a while to warm up to other dogs, but that's okay. We had her DNA done. Rita is actually Australian Shepherd and Korean Jindo! Ha!! We absolutely love her to pieces!! I want to send a BIG THANK YOU to you and Labradors and Friends for taking such good care of our girl and keeping her safe until we could be united. She's my best friend. Warmest regards, Ann & Rita Pearl
Jasper Meet Jasper!!!! He is the sweetest boy and so full of love!!! He was found as a stray in the Baldwin Park area. Jasper is friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs. He rides like a gentleman in the car, is house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. He walks great on a leash and loves to swim in the pool. He would spend all day swimming if he could. FAST FORWARD: Jasper found his forever home and is one LUCKY dog!!! His new family takes him on trail rides where he can run and swim in the lake. They have this to say about Jasper. Thank you for saving all these beautiful babies. We will always come to you for our dogs!!! I wanted to let you know how special he is to us... And how HAPPY he is. He is the best listener. I can not figure out who would have let him go, he's an awesome dog!!! Our dog Sierra loves him. Good job, and know you have touched our lives and his. We LOVE HIM!!!!!
Jada Hello Everyone My name is Jada. My foster parents also call me Jada Bug. I am a 2 1/2 year old Lab Mix. I am black with white on my chest and toes. I have beautiful brown eyes. One ear that stands tall. My favorite color is a tie between purple and pink. I am very sweet and a big lover. I have a very outgoing personality. I love the 2 legged people. I was rescued out of Baldwin Park Shelter on April 20, 2014 after my owner surrendered me and my sister while I was 60 days pregnant and about to pop. I had 8 babies (WOW I know) on April 23, 2014. I am an amazing Mother and Aunt to 5 more babies. Most of my children have been adopted into wonderful forever homes. Now it is my turn. For the first time in quite a while I am living the single ladies life and loving it. I use my own personal door to go outside to do my business. My Parents call it a Doggie Door, whatever that means. I may not be crate trained, but when my parents leave for work, I spend the day in the office and do great. I love to play with my foster parents. When I am not playing with my parents or furry siblings I like to get in a long nap or cuddle time. I am also not an early bird. Where is my favorite place to nap you ask? The couch, but don't tell daddy. He thinks my doggie bed is my favorite. I have to say my favorite toys are these round bouncy things my parents call balls. They are fabulous. I do what my mom says is the cutest happy dance before every dinner. I know the basic commends, Sit and Down, but Stay just isn't my thing. I walk very well on a leash and love to walk around neighborhood. Plus I also ride like a champ in the car. I have finally found my forever home. This is a picture of my new mom and human brother.
