A sweet, 1-2 year old, neutered black lab was picked up and brought to the Downey Shelter. He was imme diately networked because he had been hit by a car and needed medical attention. We were alerted to him and we were the only ones to step up to help him! This sweet boy is now Max and he was clearly hit by a car and then dragged by it. 

We got Max stabilized and had our orthopedic vet assess his leg. Sadly, the leg was broken, degloved, decayed flesh and serious tendon and ligament damage. He needs an IMMEDIATE amputation.
