Blackie

Blackie's story is bittersweet. She had been living on the streets for over a year and was pregnant when we where asked to help her. We rescued Blackie and her buddy Brownie and placed them in wonderful foster homes. Sadly Blackie's puppies were born premature and didn't survive. With all she's been through, Blackie has been loving and trusting of her foster family. Blackie, called Mama, is sweet and obedient. She wants to please and loves to snuggle on the couch. Her favorite thing is going to the beach or on long walks off leash. She needs a lot of exercise and would do best at home with another dog. She walks well on a leash, but just walks really fast. All she wants is a best friend and forever companion. She is a perfect dog!!! FAST FORWARD: Blackie has found her forever home. Her new name is Mona. They named her Mona as Blackie's foster family called her Mama. Since she responded to that name her new family wanted it to be similar. They LOVE her!!!!! She's living with her new parents, two human siblings, and a kitty sibling who she's doing great with!!!
