Jengo

Meet Jengo!! Jengo and his companion Ursula, were originally rescued from an abandoned home. The rescue that tried to help them ran into some difficulty and then we stepped in to help. We believe Jengo is about 6-7 years old. Jengo has been professionally trained and is a model citizen. He is all personality and loves everyone. He is very well mannered on the leash and knows basic commands. Please consider opening your home and heart to Jengo. He was once a loved family member and then something went sideways, we will never know what happened. All we know is he now deserves a warm, loving home forever. FAST FORWARD: Jengo went to a foster home with one of our other dogs. His foster mom fell in love with him and when another adopter was interested in him, there was no way she could let him go. Jengo found his forever home and his new mom LOVES him!!

Whiskey

Meet Whiskey!! Whiskey and his brother Rocky, both grew up together. Their owner lost his home and had to move in with relatives. Their owner was devastated he had to give up his boys. One of our volunteers heard about his story and the boys came into our rescue. Whiskey is about 5 1/2 years old. He is a purebred Lab, gets along with other dogs and rides like a gentleman in the car. He is house trained and knows some basic commands. He pulls a little on the leash, but listens to commands. He loves to chase rabbits, so probably wouldn't do well in a home with cats. FAST FORWARD: Whiskey has found his forever family. He has a doggy friend to play with and a family who loves him very much. He is one LUCKY boy!!!

Skye

Meet Skye!! Our STUNNING little girl was rescued from the Carson Shelter. We could not get over her striking good looks!! Skye is petite, sweet and so smart. She loves everyone and everyone loves her back!! Skye is not going to be a very big girl, she has a petite frame and the most beautiful features. She is very well socialized and loves to play and cuddle. She is very eager to please and learned to sit and lay down in less than 30 minutes. She rides well in the car and loves to run, jump and play. FAST FORWARD: It doesn't surprise us that Skye found her new forever home so quickly. She is a beautiful girl and so lucky to have such a wonderful family. Skye is getting all the love and attention she deserves and her new family LOVES her!!!!

O'Siris

Meet O'Siris!! Our adorable 8-10 week old guy had a really rough start…you see, this adorable puppy was found in a garbage dumpster in Los Angeles. He couldn't stand, he had some head/jaw pain and we were so worried he wasn't going to make it. The first night was rough, but the amazing Dr Saleeb at Katella Animal Clinic helped us get O'Siris back to a happy, healthy and ready for a forever home puppy! O'Siris is in an amazing foster home with lots of 4 legged foster siblings to help him recover. O'Siris is great with other dogs, is a happy, energetic puppy who is crate trained and learning house manners. O'Siris is a very special pup! FAST FORWARD: O'Siris has found his forever home! His new family just LOVES HIM!!!

Petey

Meet Petey! This amazing, guy was surrendered to the Harbor Shelter with his buddy weeks ago. He was heartbroken…his buddy was adopted and there he sat, day after day, loosing weight, getting depressed not understanding why he was there. He was a volunteer favorite at the shelter. We were emailed asking if we could help and thanks to a temporary foster home opening up we were able to rescue Petey and get him into a home. As soon as Petey was pulled, we immediately got him to the vet. He had HORRIBLE ear infections, so we did blood work just to be sure he was okay. His ears are still being treated, but they are improving and his blood was great, so he is now on the road to feeling good! Petey's foster family says he is basically perfect. He is completely house trained, loves to say "hi" to everyone they meet on walks, loves attention, easy on the leash, knows basic commands and was clearly a family dog. Let's get Petey the family he deserves! FAST FORWARD: Petey has found his forever home. He now has a loving family to hang out with and do all kinds of fun things. He even has a doggy friend to play with. Petey is one LUCKY boy and his new family LOVES him!!
