Katie

Katie: This beautiful girl (Lab/Boxer/Dalmation mix) was picked up by San Bernardino Animal control. She was so scared in the shelter, she would tremble with fear. Katie is shy, but warms up quickly. She is very sweet and craves attention. Reno: Reno was abandoned at a High Kill Shelter in the desert. Our volunteer saw him and fell in love with him. Reno loves everyone he meets, but gets along best with female doggie friends. He needs basic training, but is willing to please. Reno has a lot of energy, but will settle down and be a perfect gentleman on his walks. Reno would benefit being with an active home where he will get regular exercise and be part of the family. FAST FORWARD: Katie and Reno were adopted together. Their new mom and dad were looking for two dogs and when they found out Reno and Katie were being boarded together, they decided to adopt both of them. These two kids are now getting the love and attention they deserve after being in boarding for almost two years. They are both LUCKY dogs to have such a wonderful family now!!

Leia Puppy

Meet puppy Leia! Leia is a dream puppy, she is sweet, loving and gentle. She LOVES to cuddle in your lap and be with her people. Leia is potty trained and crate trained. She gets along with big and little dogs and even young children. She LOVES to play with squeaky toys and splashing in the water. Leia is the perfect size for any home! When we first got Leia we couldn't imagine being a 6 month old puppy…you are lost…hit by a car and then end up in the shelter! That is what happened to our adorable puppy Leia. Our sweet puppy ended up at the Carson shelter with lacerations all over her body, mouth and a fractured right humeral head to her front leg. This poor little girl was in so much pain. We got her to the vet, cleaned her up and got her surgery to fix her breaks. FAST FORWARD: Leia has found her forever home!! Her new family adopted a dog from us a couple of years ago and wanted to get another dog. They fell in LOVE with Leia as soon as they saw her. She is one lucky girl to have such a wonderful family to call her forever home.

Joker

Meet Joker!! This stunning, one year old guy was rescued off the euthanasia list at the Orange County Shelter on April Fool's Day. This was no joke!! This stunning guy is now safe with us and ready for better days ahead. Joker is shy, sweet and ready to see what the world has to offer. Joker was very unsure at the shelter, but once out of that environment he began to relax. Joker needs to get out into the world and also needs structure and confidence to be the best dog he can be. We are working on all that with him. Good news is, he is great with other dogs and appears to be house trained. FAST FORWARD: Joker waited a long time to find his forever home. The perfect family found out about him, went to meet him and fell in LOVE with him. Joker is now getting all the love and attention he so much deserves. He is one LUCKY boy and his family LOVES him!!!!

Sophia

Meet Sophia!! Found as a stray, this beautiful 2 year old girl ended up at the Baldwin Park Shelter. She caught the eye of our volunteer, she was scared, depressed and loosing hope. That experience is now behind her as she is part of the LAF family now! Sophia is now ready for a foster or forever home to help her feel loved again! Sophia is friendly, submissive, a little shy at first, but warms up quickly, listens very well and is eager to please. She walks well on the leash, easy to handle and just a little insecure (she needs some confidence). She appears to have a medium energy level, good with other dogs, rides well in the car and we believe she maybe house trained. Sophia is a true gem! FAST FORWARD: Sophia found her new family just days after we rescued her. Her news family fell in love with her as soon as they met her. She is one very LUCKY girl to have such a great family now. They LOVE her!!!!

Blake (aka Mr. Handsome)

Blake aka Mr Handsome is Waiting To Meet You!! Tall, handsome and a goofball, yep that is Blake! This adorable fella was adopted from us as a puppy and then returned a year later because he needed more than they could provide. Yes, he needs exercise, a play buddy and some structure, but don't they all? Blake is a fun loving, playful, happy go lucky guy who would love an active family to take him places. He is house trained, rides well in the car, good on the leash and is well socialized with dogs big and small. Blake settles down nicely and even loves to cuddle! He is AWESOME!!! FAST FORWARD: Blake, now named Oscar is with his new family!! They love him and couldn't believe they found such a perfect fit so fast! He's been having lots of play dates with his former foster mom's dog, Rebel. His new family LOVES him!!! He is one LUCKY boy!!!
