Ginger

Meet Ginger!! Our beautiful, 2-3 year old chocolate girl was being surrendered by her family at the shelter after she was attacked by 2 dogs. With injuries to her ear and front leg our volunteer on the scene went into action and we got this girl outta there! Ginger is on the mend, we are watching her ear for swelling, but other than that her wounds are healing well and emotionally she seems as sweet and happy as ever. Ginger is well socialized with kids and seems fine with other dogs. She is house trained, rides well in the car and is seriously an absolute love bug. FAST FORWARD: Happy Adoptionversary to our sweet girl, GInger!! It was ONE year ago today that we adopted the sweetest, most beautiful chocolate lab from Labradors and Friends Rescue. She was a 6 year old that was in a shelter in Downey and Labradors and Friends rescued her. Fortunately our paths crossed with Labradors and Friends and GINGER. We were able to bring her home on February 13, 2015 and she has never looked back! She is a JOY and a BLESSING to us!! She is spoiled by her mama and daddy. She goes to "play group" once a week and loves seeing her friends! Thank you again, Labradors and Friends!!

Chloe

Meet Chloe!! Chloe found herself in the Riverside Animal Shelter, and the sad thing was she was also pregnant. She gave birth to five beautiful puppies and really needed to get out of there. We rescued Chloe and her babies which were now old enough to go into their forever homes. Four of Chloe's babies have been adopted, one is still waiting for his forever home. Now it's her turn to find a foster or a forever home she can call her own. FAST FIRWARD: Chloe has finally found her forever home. Her new mom fell in love with her when they met. Chloe is one lucky girl to have a new family that LOVES her!!!

Rocko

Meet Rocko!! This loving, sweet guy was part of an investigation at the Carson Shelter. We do not know the details of the situation, but it appears Rocko came into the shelter with a badly embedded collar and infection. That is all behind him now and he is on the road to recovery! This sweet guy holds no grudges and LOVES everyone!!! Rocky is a lab/shep mix. He LOVES his people and enjoys spending time with them. He is happiest when he can be with you, or at least see you! He would make a great therapy dog! Rocko does need some basic training, but he is eager to please. He is energetic, gets along with other dogs and loves to run and play. Rocko is house trained, crate trained and rides well in the car. FAST FORWARD: Rocko has found his forever home. His new family LOVES him!!

Tikaani

Meet Tikaani aka Brembo!! OMG, how adorable is Tikaani? This 6 month old girl was abandoned at a vets office when her owner realized a dog was too much work. We were contacted through one of our volunteers to see if we could help. We found a foster home, so we were able to help her. Tikaani is an amazing puppy! She is good with other dogs, is eager to please and ready to learn. Her foster mom is working on house and crate training, she is doing really well! Tikaani has met a cat, she barked a few times, so we think she maybe good with cats as she isn't chasing them. We were told she is a Husky/Pomeranian mix…who knows though…we definitely see husky in her. FAST FORWARD: Look at this beautiful girl now. Her mom and dad have had her a year now. She is GORGEOUS!!!!! What a great home she got. They LOVE her!!

Blacky

Meet Blacky!! Look at this water loving, adorable fella. This handsome dude was dumped at the OC Shelter by his family after they admitted they never bothered to train or work with him…no time! UGH! Well, their loss is going to be someone else's gain as Blacky is AWESOME!! Blacky is a typical goofy lab, he is happy, energetic and a big water loving dork. Blacky is eager to please, he has already learned sit and he walks well on the leash. He is great with other dogs, playful, house trained and easy going! He is truly a terrific dog and oh so cute! FAST FORWARD: Blacky, now known as Vinny (the black dog in the picture) has found his forever home! His new family LOVES him!!! He is already enrolled in training and they just love him to pieces for all his goofiness. Vinny is one LUCKY boy to have such a wonderful family to love him!!
