Hope We LOVE to hear from our adopters. We received these wonderful and kind words from the family who adopted Hopie. She is one LUCKY girl who has an incredible home!!! Yesterday, was the 8 year anniversary of the day I brought my sweet Hopie home from the Labradors and Friends Rescue Group. One of the happiest days of my life. Here she is, we celebrated our day, and though she is a little gray around the temples now (aren't we all?)... she is still the same happy, healthy, sweet girl she was the day she came to her forever home. Thank you to this wonderful rescue group for all you do.
Charcoal (aka Bolton) Meet Charcoal!! Hard to believe this incredibly handsome and sweet boy was not getting noticed at the Carson Shelter. At only 6 years old he was adopted from there 4 years ago and then dumped back when the family was moving! They did have a lot of wonderful things to say about him and they are all true! Charcoal is a big, 90 pound boy, who thinks he is a lap dog! He loves to sit next to or on you and give you kisses. He is happy, sweet, loves to play ball and is very well socialized. He appears to be house trained, rides pretty good in the car, has some leash training and knows some basic commands. FAST FORWARD: Charcoal has found his new forever family. They met him at the Orange County Pet Expo and fell in LOVE with him!! He is one LUCKY boy to have found such an awesome home!! His new mom said they are smitten with him!!!
Trixie Paw Up! Date!! Trixie Had Her Surgery!! Trixie would like to give everyone LOTS of tail wags and licks, and of course a BIG THANK YOU for helping her get the surgery she desperately needed!! She is now one week post op and DOING GREAT!! Sweet Trixie is just a baby, maybe a year old, and she found herself injured and alone in the OC Shelter. She was set to be euthanized because she needed amputation surgery. We saw her beautiful face and just couldn't let that happen. Trixie's leg was just dangling and she needed surgery ASAP! Trixie is an amazing, sweet and happy girl who deserves all we can give her. FAST FORWARD: Many of you will remember Trixie...she was euthanasia listed at the OC shelter...she had nerve damage to her front leg and was incredibly scared. We couldn't let her die there so we pulled her and got her the medical attention she needed. She did end up loosing her front leg, but then gained an AMAZING foster mom who nursed her both physically and emotionally back to health. It took some time, but then Trixie landed the BEST forever family!! We cannot thank Emily and her family enough for giving Trixie the forever home she so deserved!!
