Suzie Meet Suzie! This adorable 9 year old was left at a shelter in the City of Los Angeles with little hope. When we saw her picture we knew we had to help her. She went to many mobile adoptions but no one fell in love with her and sadly, no other rescues were interested in helping. Suzie is a great girl, loves other dogs, is house trained, knows some commands and isn't too bad on the leash. Suzie is on a diet, she has lost a little weight and is looking for an active family to take her on walks and new adventures. FAST FORWARD: Suzie has found her forever home. Her owner contacted us to let us know how she is doing and said, Who can forget Suzie Sausage, the Beagle /Bulldog who graced your pages as an available adoption back in the Fall of 2012 to the Spring of 2013. Not quite a Labrador, but certainly a dog who needed a permanent home. Well she's been with us in Petaluma since April 2013 and we simply love her to death. She's seen here with her 13 year old Lab brother, Harley, who came to us from Lily's Legacy Sanctuary in Petaluma. Adopting Senior dogs is great. Thank you Labradors and Friends!!
Sky Meet Sky!! This sweet, loving, adorable 1.5 year old girl has had the misfortune of being in the LA County shelter system not once, but TWICE! Just over a year ago Sky was a cute puppy who was adopted by a family who sadly wasn't committed to a life time of love. Fast forward one year and she is being dropped off at the same shelter because they were moving into an apartment and couldn't take her. Sky is sweet, well socialized, healthy, well mannered and just a doll. She is house trained, not to bad on the leash and eager to enjoy life. FAST FORWARD: Hi everyone!! It's Harley, formerly known as Sky. My new parents LOVE me! My favorite things to do are go on long walks, car rides, and puppy play dates!! My mom says I'm the official greeter to humans and dogs because I love to say "Hi" to everyone!!! Looks like third time is the charm because I have truly found my forever home!!!!
Sadie This stunning, 85 pound, 2 year old girl was left at the Carson Shelter by her family when they decided they didn't want her anymore. They had 2 other dogs and she drew the short straw!! There loss will be someone else's gain! Sadie is stunning, sweet, happy and ready for a loving home. She is house trained, rides beautifully in the car, is well socialized and not too bad on the leash. She is very loving, even with her whole world being turned upside down. FAST FORWARD: Sadie has found her forever home. She now has the love and attention she so much deserves. Her new family LOVES her!!!!
Sadie Meet Sadie This poor baby was left at the shelter in deplorable shape by her family. Being a lab mix, 5 years old and sick no other rescue was willing to give her a chance. Well, we did and now she is spayed, healthy and ready for the love she deserves! Sadie is sweet, loving, good with other dogs, kids and appears to be house trained. She is petite and darling. FAST FORWARD: Sadie was adopted a year ago and is doing very well. She is such a sweet girl! She came to her foster home with a broken leg. She was with her foster at their house for about 5 months while she healed. She was definitely a dog the foster wanted to keep, but a family came to meet her and said they had loved her the moment they saw her picture. They came to see her, and then waited almost 2 months until she was cleared by Dr. Hampel. Sadie's foster had never been more sure about this family being the ONE that would be her forever home. As you can see she is doing well and they love her very much!!
Shiloh- puppy Remember our Rubber Band Puppies Last Year?? Babies Shiloh and Tyler, who is now known as Artemis, were brought into the Downey shelter with rubber bands "cropping" their ears and docking their tails....... Unbelievable!! Well, needless to say they were a mess when we got them, open wounds, infection, but we rescued them, got them all the care they needed. Fast forward, and here they are this weekend at training class together!! It is great when our adopters send us Happy Updates. Just look at those smiles!!
