Luna fka Donna

What A Difference A Foster Makes!! Donna aka Luna was scheduled to be euthanized at the 29 Palms Shelter. She was scared and had zero interest. One of our volunteers rallied, a foster came forward, a road trip to 29 Palms and just 3 weeks later Luna is doing AMAZING! Sure, she scared the heck out of us when she went missing for a day, but when she quickly realized life was good she settled in beautifully!! Turns out Luna is VERY playful, loving, great with everyone and all because a foster family said yes to this beautiful girl. Luna, with her AWESOME ears, has a new lease on life. Amazing things can happen when people work together to make a difference. Just ask Luna! FAST FORWARD: Luna's story was inspirational as this beautiful girl wouldn't have made it out of the shelter without a foster family stepping up to take her. This amazing family took her into their home and showed her what real love is. They opened their hearts to her and she gave back, so much that there was no way they were going to let her get adopted by another family. They welcomed her into their lives and she now has the amazing loving home she deserves. Happy Tails Luna!!!

Lilly Belle

Meet Lilly Belle!! Oh My Adorable Puppy. Lilly Belle is a 3 month old, sweet, lovable and well socialized lab mix girl! She found herself at the Carson Shelter, had multiple people interested, but no one showed up for her. No problem, we had a foster and off she went. Lilly Belle is great with other dogs, good with kids, is learning her house manners and is good in a crate. She is a typical puppy who would benefit from basic obedience classes to help her grow up to be the best dog possible! FAST FORWARD: Oh my goodness, look at Lilly Belle now. She has a wonderful family who LOVES her so much. Happy Tails Lilly Belle!!!

Luna

Meet Luna!! Luna is a striking, 8 month old, 40-45 pound lab mix who was surrendered to us when her family was moving and couldn't keep her. So far she is FABULOUS!! Luna's foster mom is so impressed with how smart and well balanced she is! She is great with other dogs, loves to play, sleeps the night in her crate and is eager to please! She will make a great family dog! FAST FORWARD: We knew it wouldn't take long for Luna to find her forever home. We had a lot of people interested in adopting her. We reviewed all of the applications and had our number one applicant come meet her. It was LOVE at first sight!! Luna now as a wonderful family to call her own. Happy Tails Luna!!

Lexi

Meet Puppy Lexie!! This ADORABLE girl was found as a stray in San Diego with a badly broken leg. When we were contact by SDAC to see if we could help, we had no problem saying yes because a foster home was available. Lexie had multiple cast changes, X-rays and now, 2 months later she is cleared and ready for a forever home. Lexie is about 4 months old, she is very well socialized with kids and other dogs, she is house trained, great in the car and knows sit, down, wait and is good on the leash! Lexie loves to snuggle and cuddle and is just an all around great puppy! FAST FORWARD: A wonderful family saw Lexie on our website and knew she was the puppy for her family. They fell in LOVE with her as soon as they met her. Lexie is one lucky girl to have such an awesome forever home. Happy Tails Lexie!!!!

Lilly

OH SWEET LILY!! Our beautiful, almost 5 year old girl, was adopted from us a few years ago and then she was returned when the family decided they could no longer handle a multi dog household. It is okay, we are glad she is back and now we will find her the right forever home! Lily has been working with our awesome trainer Rachelle of All Smiles Dog Training and she is doing fabulous! She is great with her dogs and all of the LAF dogs she meets too. Lily is very sweet, well mannered, easy going and knows all her basic obedience. Lily is house and crate trained and rides great in the car! FAST FORWARD: Our sweet girl Lily (black lab) has found her forever home!! Many of you will remember she was adopted 6 years ago and then was returned. She went to an AMAZING foster home and she waited patiently...well this holiday her wishes came true! Lily and her new brother Auggie are doing great and we are thrilled! Happy Tails Lily!!
