Candy

Our amazing, sweet, loving, 7-8 year old girl Candy is STILL waiting for someone to come and adopt her! Could it be classic black dog syndrome? No one is noticing how beautiful she is? Candy is an absolute doll, loves everyone, is easy going, sweet, on the smaller side (about 60 pounds) good on the leash and very well mannered. Candy is house trained, eager to please and treat motivated. FAST FORWARD: Candy went to a loving foster home. Her new foster family fell in LOVE with her!!! When another family wanted to adopt her, her foster family decided they would have a hard time letting her go to another home. Happy ending for Candy!!!!

Costello

Hubba…Hubba…Hubba… Costello is one hunk of a lab!!! This stunning, 5 year old guy, is absolutely fabulous! Costello is handsome, charming, well mannered and all field lab!!! Costello is great with kids, good with other dogs, no cats or small dogs as he does have a prey drive. He is house trained, crate trained and knows some basic commands. He will make a great addition to any family!! FAST FORWARD: Costillo has found his forever home. His new family fell in LOVE with him the minute they met him. His new name is now Rio. He is one LUCKY boy!!!!

Cowboy

Meet Cowboy!! How many different ways can you say STUNNING? Cowboy is one AWESOME puppy! This little guy was sitting at the Carson Shelter hoping someone would notice him…guess what? Our volunteer did! Cowboy was quite the TV star yesterday in Los Angeles: http://www.myfoxla.com/…/cowboy-a-pointer-mix-from-labrador… Cowboy's foster mom can't stop saying wonderful things about him! He is house training, awesome with her dogs and is doing really well on the leash and with basic commands. Cowboy may have a slight seeing impairment, but you would never know it if you watch him play. Cowboy is a true gem! FAST FORWARD: Cowboy has found his forever home!! He has the best family ever! He gets to go everywhere with his new family, including trips to the beach and camping in their RV. They LOVE him!!!!!

Cash (fka Buttercup)

Meet Buttercup!! (Male) This handsome fella was found wandering alone in a rural area of No County San Diego. A good samaritan took him and and tried to find his owners, but with no luck. They sadly couldn't keep him so they asked us for help. Buttercup is now a proud member of the L&F family and he is looking for a foster or forever home. Buttercup is very sweet, well mannered and smart!!! He is good with dogs of all sizes, farm animals and kids. He is house trained, isn't too bad on the leash and appears to know some commands. He is a sweetheart. We would love to get Buttercup into a foster or forever home as a soon as possible. FAST FORWARD: Buttercup has found his new forever home!!! His new family fell in love with him at first site. He is one lucky boy!!!!!

Cookie

This adorable, one year old, 30 pound girl was rescued from the Carson Shelter. Her family adopted her in March as a cute, adorable 8 week old puppy…they dumped her back there just before Christmas with horrible skin issues stating they no longer wanted her. Not only does she have demodex (non contagious) mange, she also has an upper respiratory infection we are treating. Cookie would love to get into a home to heal. She is very sweet, loving and wants to please. She appears to be social with other dogs and house trained. We know she is going to be an awesome girl now that we have her on the road to recovery. FAST FORWARD: Look at Cookie now!!! She has found her forever home and they LOVE her!!!!!
