Boomer

Meet Boomer!! This hunk-o-chocolate love was found as a stray in Hesperia. To no fault of his own he ran out of time at the shelter. We find it hard to believe no one was looking for him or wanted to adopt him, but that was their loss! Boomer is a typical, goofy, happy, sweet labbie boy who was looking for a new home. Boomer is about 75 pounds, great with people, kids and other dogs. He appears to be house trained, is strong on the leash and is learning basic commands. He is a bit of a diamond in the rough, but his personality and charm will win you over! Boomer was lucky and he found his forever family for the Holidays! His new family contacted us and said "we are making progress with this big guy. Boomer LOVES the snow and his tennis balls He can still be a little grumpy around dogs who come in all happy and face first, but I'm using a little squirt bottle per Zoe to help make him settle down. Thank you again for your help and for letting us adopt such a great boy!!"

Billie

Our boy Billie finally had his day today and found his forever family. It has been a long road for this beautiful boy. Not sure why, he must have been a hidden jewel here in the High Desert. He was pulled out of Barstow Shelter and was with us for almost a year. He immediately charmed this new family when they met him. His new fur sister, Dallas, was smitten by Billie when he play bowed to her and she did the same to him. It was truly LOVE at first sight!!!!!!!

Bishop

Bishop had been with us for over 1 year. He is a very sweet dog, but no one was interested. Finally, a lovely young couple came up to see him. It was love at first sight!! They were so happy they drove up to meet him as he was exactly what they had been looking for which was a Lab Shepard Mix. This match was meant to be as his new dad grew up in Spring Valley Lake, close to Victorville. They are in LOVE with Bishop and he is their dream come true!!!! His Story----Meet Bishop!! Bishop is about 2 years old. He is a beautiful Lab mix with a sweet personality. He gets along well with other dogs and loves everyone. He has some basic training and is eager to learn. He's treat motivated and will even give you his paw if you put your hand out to him. He rides well in the car and is just waiting to find his forever home. Yehhhh for Bishop as he is now in a loving home!!!

Brooke's Puppy - Goldie

Hi Everyone, Some of you will remember this story it made our local news…A family in Los Angeles was out shopping. The mom and daughter were in a small store and dad and their beloved senior labrador were in the van waiting. Dad got out of the van for a split second to check on when they were coming out, he left the AC on for Maru and in the blink of an eye the van was stolen. This was in front of a lot of people. The family was on TV begging for Maru to be taken to a shelter, anywhere she could be safe and the family could get her back. They didn't care about the van, they just wanted their lab back. Sadly, 2 days later the van was found, it ran out of gas and Maru was dead in the back. The van was taken for joy riding and their was blatant disregard to the life that was also taken. It was hot and she died from heatstroke. The thief was caught, actually during a press conference he was recognized by the dad as being there that day…while that won't bring Maru back at least there was some closure. The family has taken a long time to be ready to bring another dog into the home. Their daughter Lucie and Maru were inseparable, they truly loved each other. She understands that Maru is in heaven watching over her but the loss was hard on everyone. When I was approached a few weeks ago by a good friend asking if we had any puppies coming up for adoption and would I be okay with adopting to them of course I said yes. I remembered the story well and was honored to be asked to help them find a new family member. I sent them to Brooke's Facebook page and mom and dad fell in love with Goldie. This Saturday Santa's Elves drove down from LA to pick Goldie up so they could surprise Lucie with Goldie. I think the pictures say it all. Lucie kept saying the Maru brought Goldie now Abigail to her, she is their angel. With all the pain and sadness of late this was one of those moments where you get to smile and know there is still good in the world. Lauren
