Bravo So, a middle aged, black dog ends up in the shelter, we hear this all the time. Thankfully, we love them!! Bravo was on the euthanasia listed at the Orange County Shelter. We honestly don't even remember why, it wasn't important to us. We saw a sweet, older (he is only 6-7) guy asking for help and we were there for him. FAST FORWARD: Bravo has found his forever home. His new family LOVES him!!!!
Bodhi Happy Happy Happy Ending and Paw Up Date Alert!!! Many of our long term followers will remember Bodhi, our stunning guy pulled from the North Central Shelter in January of 2014. He was just a baby, maybe 9 months old and he had sustained a horrible injury to his shoulder. He was lame, black, a mix and injured....not a good mix in a high kill shelter. Lucky for Bodhi he caught the eye of one of our volunteers and with the help of some amazing friends, Bodhi came to San Diego. He had a long road of rehab ahead.....we did all we could do medically for him and then he waited for a foster. As luck would have it he found one!! A good friend of his foster mom fell in love with Bodhi!! There were lots of play dates and sleep overs and now it is OFFICIAL!! After 15 months one of our FAVORITE rescues has found his forever home!! We LOVE You Bodhi!!!
Brady Oh How We LOVE Our Happy Endings!! Our sweet Brady is in his forever home. His new family drove 5 hours to meet this special guy. We are THRILLED for Brady and his new Family!!! Brady is 2 year old Lab that was picked up as a stray in Hesperia, His owner never came looking for him. Brady is a typical, goofy, happy, sweet labrador. His new family commented on our Facebook page; "Hi my name is Brady and today is my official adoption day. It was one week ago today that my new forever mom and dad drove 5 hours to the desert to meet me. They loved me and took me home with them and I love them too. Thank you so much Labradors and Friends for making us all so happy!!!!"
Brooke's Puppy - Harley We rescued a beautiful pregnant girl from the high desert. We named her Brooke. Not long after her rescue, Brooke had several puppies, Harley was one of them. All the puppies were adopted, including Harley. After a few weeks, Harley's family decided she was too much for them so they returned her to us. How anyone could not LOVE this beautiful little girl!! Well, it wasn't long until we found a truly loving family who just adores her. They love her so much and are happy to have her as a family member. Harley is one lucky girl, but then again so is her family.
Blackjack Happy Ending Alert!!! It took a holiday miracle to save Black Jack. He was on the euthanasia list at the Ramona Shelter, it was almost Christmas Eve and no one was paying attention to the generic black dog. Black Jack had a kennel mate towards the end of his stay that had issues with foodâ¦our sweet boy was attacked and then become even more urgent. The L&F Village rallied a plan, a temporary foster came through and Black Jack was outta the shelter! Two weeks ago our handsome guy met the family of his dreams! He gets to go everywhere with them and he has captured their heart! We couldn't be more thrilled for this handsome, young guy! Thank You To Everyone Who Helped Make This Happy Ending Possible!!
