Prior to coming into rescue, Maya was injured when she was hit by a car. She suffered a broken pelvis, which has since healed, but the trauma of the accident has caused her to become fearful. Maya has been working with a trainer, and has made great strides in over coming her fears.

Maya absolutely loves other dogs, and while living with her trainer, Maya became a pro at showing the new dogs how to integrate into the pack walks.

This special little girl, needs a special adopter, someone who will have patience and continue to help her over come her fears. Things like keeping up on her daily walks and taking her out to experience new things. Maya would do best in a home with another dog, and she is great with kids and tested okay for cats.
