Foster Or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Dixie!!

Dixie is a beautiful, 3 year old, yellow lab mix, who was surrendered with her little friend at the Hesperia Shelter. Her little friend was adopted/rescued and Dixie was left behind. Dixie had a few lumps on her head, nothing serious, just lipomas, that have been removed and she is healing beautifully. We think it was the shaved head that turned people away from adopting her as she is a doll.

Dixie is energetic and eager to please.  We are working on her leash manners and basic obedience, she is a quick study and doing great. Dixie gets a little nervous in new environments, but adjusts quickly and is learning how great life outside of the shelter really is. Dixie appears to be good with other dogs.
